Sandy Naramore
Executive Director
A native of Birmingham, Sandy received her bachelor’s degree in Behavior Disorders from Auburn University. She received a master’s degree and Administrative Certification from UAB, both from the School of Education. After a career as a special education teacher, Sandy retired from the Alabama State Department of Education as the assistant principal at Greystone Elementary School to pursue a career in the nonprofit realm. For nine years, she served as the executive director of Mitchell’s Place, a comprehensive center for children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.
In 2017, Sandy joined the Magic Moments staff as the Executive Director. She considers her position to be “the perfect completion to a wonderful career.” She wanted to help children from the time she was in the second grade and fulfilling magic moments for children in Alabama brings joy beyond description – working with the children and families brings joy and happiness that she never imagined possible.
Sandy and her husband, Lane, are blessed that both of their sons and their families live very close to them in the Birmingham area. They have three granddaughters and two grandsons.
